Laura Secord House

The Laura Secord house was built in 1837.  Originally, James Cummings owned the house and in 1841 bought the house and moved there with her family.  It's located at 3800 Bridgewater St. in Niagara on the Lake.  The Laura Secord House was Laura and James home during the War Of 1812.  It was partially destroyed but redone.  You can still see some holes from where bullets could of been.  Laura lived in the house the rest of her life and in order for her to support herself, opened a private school.  The house is now open to tourists.
