Family History

Thomas Ingersoll was the son of Richard Ingersoll. Thomas was born in 1749. He was born in Westfield Massachusetts where 5 generations of his family had been born. When Thomas then married Elizabeth Dewey who was 17 at the time of the marriage. Elizabeth Dewey was born on January 28 1858 to Israel Dewey. in 1774 he and Elizabeth moved to Great Barrington. He worked as a hat maker and spent time in the army. The following year their first baby, a daughter was born. Laura Secord.
